Pay Equity with Sally Loftis

“Are you engaging people who are just trying to survive day to day and pay their bills? Or do you engage with people who have the capacity to dream and innovate for your company, because those day-to-day concerns are taken care of?”

In this episode, Jerome and Julienne talk to Sally Loftis. She’s the managing director at Loftis Partners, a 100% woman-owned human resource resources consulting firm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Loftis Partners specializes in strategy, people facilitation, and pay justice and works at the intersection of human resources, organizational development, and social justice. As a human resources consultant, Sally specializes in people strategy and pay equity, and to start the conversation, Jerome asks her to tell them more about the connection between pay equity and employee engagement. She not only explains that connection but goes into the various ways in which pay is the linchpin and a vehicle for systemic change. They also talk about pay transparency and the influence of the pandemic on understanding the value of employees, before circling back to pay equity and how she helps organizations apply a social justice lens to both pay and the stories of experiences, and voices, that are (not) being heard.

Listen to this episode to learn more about the pivotal role pay plays in employee engagement, organizational development and social justice!
