Dan Milne is a Lead Trainer and Director of Narativ in the UK.  His background and training is as a theatre practitioner and he now combines co-running Narativ in London with creative projects. He read English at Cambridge University and then studied at the Drama Studio, London. He worked as an actor and director for most major theatre companies in Britain, working regionally and in London with companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, the Young Vic and Complicité.  He has also recently branched into film, producing the motion pictures Never Here and the upcoming Widow’s Walk.

Dan also worked in business for 20 years as a coach in communication skills. This work took him around the world for a diverse array of organisations, ranging from large multi-national corporations to public sector work.

He has worked with employees at graduate recruitment level right up to top executive level and C-suite personnel.  His theatre background has led to a particular interest in the connection between the body and the mind, and working with people to explore the impact this has on behaviours and communication.

Dan is the Director of the internationally acclaimed storytelling theatre piece, Two Men Talking, created with Narativ founders Paul Browde and Murray Nossel. This ground-breaking piece of personal storytelling theatre explores the infinite possibilities of two men on stage telling unscripted stories from their lives.  In 2009 Dan became Director of Narativ in London and along with Jane Nash has worked to support organizations seeking to embed storytelling in their culture or to use it as a tool to enrich individuals’ experience and to engage and empower them.
